Mother’s Day Gift Certificates

30 04 2010

Alright, kiddos, time to buy the perfect gift for your mom. Pam Long Photography gift certificates!  For a very limited time, we are offering an extra bonus!  When you purchase a gift certificate for $100,  your certificate will be valued at $125!  When you purchase a gift certificate for $150, you receive an extra $50 for a value of $200!!!  That’s a fantastic return on your investment.   🙂

Give mom the incredible gift of portraits.  She can use them to pay for a photo session (family, children, maternity, newborn, boudoir, in-studio, on location – get it? no limits!!)  If you’re planning on beach portraits this summer, she can use it towards awesome family portraits on the beach.  Planning on holiday cards again this year, yes, these  certificates can be used towards them!  Do you know someone that is expecting a baby, purchase one for her to use toward maternity and newborn portraits! These certificates can also be used for portrait prints, albums, frames, purses or jewelry.

“My sister was right, you are wonderful!  My family and I had a great time and shared lots of laugh together during our photo shoot and portrait selection with you.  As a picky person, I was very impressed with your attention to detail, professionalism, and personal attention  you gave us.  It’s obvious that you love what you do and your work shows it.  I have and will continue to recommend your services to my friends and family.”

This offer is good for all people….not just moms or for moms!  If you know that you’ll be having Pam Long Photography photograph a session for you in the future, yes, you may purchase a value-added gift certificate as well.  But….you need to do it by Wednesday, May 5th!

Kim and Rodger’s Engagement Session in Baltimore

7 07 2009

I have to start out by saying I had a complete blast with Kim and Rodger. They are so comfortable with each other and with the love that they share; it was extremely easy to spend the afternoon with them.

This couple eats, breathes and sleeps Baltimore. So, it was no surprise when they told me that they wanted to have their e-session in Baltimore. We started on Federal Hill, stopped by their house (and I got to meet their adorable baby….doggy) and then over to Ft. McHenry. They really wanted to showcase their city of Baltimore as well as their love and I believe we accomplished just that!!

Here are some of my favorite images from our time together…

Aren’t they so super cute????….

I am looking forward to your wedding; it’s going to be a magnificant day. Thanks so much for allowing me to document this awesome moment in your life. You are a fantastic couple!!

Engagement session on location…

24 04 2009

with Steeny and Jason. I had a blast with this great couple last weekend.

It was a beautiful day, a slight wind in the air, sunny with enough cloud coverage to make it a perfect day for photographing this fun couple.

It was wonderful watching these two interact together; they compliment each other nicely. They each showed great interest in the other and really seemed to appreciate one another.

Steeny had found me through a google search several months ago and together we worked on a special project for Jason. I already knew she was great in front of the camera. During their e-session, I quickly realized that Jason was comfortable (or did a great job faking it!!) in front of the camera as well.

And by the way……I’m always wondering if I’ll get a phone call from my couples the day after their e-session complaining about their kissing muscles being sore! Haven’t so far!

Here are some of my faves from our afternoon together…

KC and John’s engagement session in DC

20 04 2009

I had the pleasure of photographing KC and John last week in DC. They are Washingtonians so we started on Capitol Hill. Even though we knew that the cherry blossoms had come and gone, we worked our way to the Tidal Basin; it’s always worth the visit. We were racing against time so we had some fun parking and driving challenges but it was all good! These two were great to hang with and up for most any crazy suggestion that I had for them. I’m really looking forward to spending more time with them and photographing their wedding.

Here are some pictures of this awesome couple…

Introducing Megan and Jason…

18 10 2008

I had a wonderful time a couple of weeks ago with Megan and Jason. They are getting married next June so we got together for their engagement shoot. What a FUN and cute couple. Their day was full of laughter, hugs and kisses!

They live in Southern Maryland and liked the idea of shooting at Patapsco. In fact, Jason emailed me asking if I knew the Park and I was thrilled to say that it’s one of my very favorite places to take people!

Here are some of my favorites from our day…

We ran into a group of fun people who were taking each other’s pictures. I saw this on the back of one of the couple’s shirts…I thought it was very appropriate for our occasion!!

When we were driving to another area of the Park, everything was looking somewhat familiar to Megan. She realized that this area was one of her stomping grounds in her high school days (sorry, I have no details to share 😉 ). She told us that just up the road was an area where there were faces on trees…yes, faces on trees. Were the faces carved…drawn with markers…how did the faces get on the trees?? It was the topic of conversation for awhile. We asked her a few more questions about the faces and continued on our way.

Once we wrapped for the day and we were heading back to the car, irony hit us. Because of the late afternoon sun through the leaves, as well as the yellow paint that marks the trail, the Park wished us farewell and good evening!!

Megan and Jason, thanks for a fun day. I really had a great time getting to know you both better. I’m thrilled that you enjoyed Patapsco. Your wedding day is going to be awesome and the start to a wonderful life together.

MaryEllen, thank you so much for referring me to Megan and Jason. Great people!! 😀

Katie and Scott make a trip from Massachusetts…

30 04 2008

and we were able to get together for their engagement session. Katie and I had spoken many times on the phone. Meeting Katie over the phone was like talking to an old friend, there was a genuine connection. I was really looking forward to meeting this awesome couple.
Photobucket

They have a fantastic love story that dates back to Katie moving to Florida to attend college. She met a guy named Chris on her second day of school and they became friends. Chris later introduced Katie to his best friend, Scott, when Scott visited from Boston. Fast forward…Scott and Katie now live in Boston and are awaiting their November wedding! That’s the abridged version!! Good job Chris!! 😀

We met at Ft. McHenry on a beautiful, sunny, cool day. Katie is from this area and I was so glad that she suggested this spot. I always like my couples to pick a place that means something to them whenever possible. Ft. McHenry has trails galore. Katie and Scott have run many races (a goal is the Boston Marathon!!) and have used this scenic area for training runs. They may be running the Baltimore Marathon just a few weeks before they get married!! 🙂 You can do it!!!

Here are some of my favorites from our fantastic time together. I look at the colors of these pictures and how bright and vibrant they are and instantly see the parallels to Katie and Scott’s personalities. They are fun-laid-back-enjoy-life type of people with vibrant, loving personalities.

Katie and Scott, thank you for interviewing me and choosing me to document this incredible time of your life. It was great spending time with you both. Scott, you’re a great man, I know you’ll be a terrific husband! A bonus was to be able to meet your father and grandfather Katie! I’m looking forward to meeting the rest of your families and your friends.
