SPRING FEST 2015…THIS Saturday, April 25th!

Hello everyone- are you ready for the BEST Ellicott City Spring Fest?!!! This Saturday, April 25, 2015, the fun begins at 12 noon and lasts until 7:30. Get ready! Grab your walking shoes and your wallets, bring your appetites, children, sunscreen and jackets! (Temperatures are predicted to range from 48 degrees to a high of 57 degrees).

Instead of your walking shoes, you might want to bring your dancing shoes, as there will be incredible music from 25+ local bands at four different stages throughout historic Ellicott City, Md. We would love to see you dancing and singing and enjoying the music in the streets!

Vendors will be located throughout Ellicott City offering many delicious food and beverage choices! There will be craft beer gardens and Wine and Tastes of Town. There are also many award winning restaurants from which to choose! They will be ready and happy to serve you!

There will be FREE crafts and games for your children and many Earth Day family activities.

The many fantastic stores in historic Ellicott City will be open for business! There is a wide range of shops from antique stores, to clothing boutiques, to furniture stores, galleries, flower shops, chocolate shops, etc. Many are offering special promotions for their clients this Saturday, in honor of Spring Fest! Be sure to check them out!

Come on up the stairs of the Howard House and check out Pam Long Photography! Pam is an international award winning photographer who is truly passionate about photography! Come on in and see her beautiful studio and the art that she’s created! You will love it and it gives you a taste of how creative she is! She is an amazing artist, who works hard at her craft and she would love to create your portrait! Pam will be in her studio from 12 – 4:30 for Spring Fest!  Come spin our Casino Wheel for a chance to win lots of great prizes and discounts from some of your favorite shops!  Come by, spin the wheel and see what you win!

Housekeeping: There are public restrooms located in the Welcome Center, located at 8267 Main Street. There is free parking on the street, however, there is only a 2 hour limit! You must move your car after 2 hours or you may get a ticket! There is also a free shuttle available if you park in the outlying parking lots.

Historic Ellicott City’s Fall Fest, Music Fest and First Annual Art Walk

Yes, all of these amazing events, joined together seamlessly into one fun and eventful day in Historic Ellicott City, MD!  Mark your calendar for Saturday, September 28 and join us on and around Main Street in Ellicott City for a fun-filled day for the entire family!

Here’s a video slideshow of the Fall Fest from last year.  Lots of fun children activities, beer gardens, the restaurants, boutiques and shoppes welcoming you like always!

This year will be a blast as well.  The 2nd Annual Main Street Music Fest will showcase more than 60 acts throughout the town, indoors and out.  Held in tandem with the Ellicott City’s annual Fall Fest, the event is free, open to all ages. Main Street Music Fest features the best Unsigned Talent that Mid Atlantic has to offer, as well as some of the best indie artists from the surrounding states.

This Year’s Venues for the Music Fest: La Palapa, Cacao Lane, Phoenix Emporium, Diamondback Tavern and 4 outdoor stages.

For you art lovers, there’s an amazing new event happening in town on the same day!

Come be a part of the Art Scene in Historic Ellicott City Maryland!

The First Artwalk will take place on 12-5 PM. You can  tour artist studios, watch demonstrations, and view local galleries.  Check out the list of studio and galleries on their website by clicking here.

You’ll start your tour by picking up your passport and Artwalk Guide at the Artwalk Tent located at the Log Cabin on the corner of Main Street and Ellicott Mills Rd.

Grab a Passport at the Artwalk Tent at the Log Cabin and get a stamp at each stop along Artwalk.  Completed Passports can be entered in the Artwalk Raffle to win a PRIZE! Prizes donated by Friends of Artwalk (listed on their website.)  TheRaffle drawing will take place at the Wine Bin Stage shortly after 5pm.

There will, obviously, be lots of fun for the whole family. Enjoy the shuttle service that will take you from the Courthouse Parking lot to lower Main Street all the way to the West End and back! Parking is available on the street (metered) and in lots (some free).

So, to recap….Ellicott City’s Fall Fest will be a blast for the whole family….or enjoy the day with your friends….or turn it into a date day!  Bottom line, go, have fun and enjoy yourself!
