Kerry and Frankie…

28 06 2007

When I was interviewed over the phone by Kathy, Kerry’s mother, it didn’t take me long to realize the love this family shares.  When I met Kerry and Frankie for their engagement shoot, it was evident that the apple didn’t fall far from the family tree.   Clearly, Kerry was so in love with Frankie and it was cute just watching them interact with one another.  Frankie was proud to have Kerry in his life.

It was great meeting both families last week at the wedding.  Such great people.  And fun friends.

We had a couple of unique situations…..First, Kerry and Frankie wanted family and group pictures taken prior to the ceremony (not unique) but Frankie could not see her (unique).  We worked it without a hitch, posing the groups and then, with Frankie keeping his eyes closed (we trusted he wasn’t peeking, he’s a minister after all!), we’d bring Kerry out from hiding.

See, he’s not peeking…

Everybody enjoyed teasing Frankie about being so close to his soon-to-be bride but not being able to see her…

Frankie’s father was his best man, I love this moment from the ceremony of the proud papa…

Another unique situation…time for the ring exchange…rings? RINGS? Who had the rings? A fantastic save from Kerry’s dad. Out of the pew he leapt as he quickly (and only briefly) left the church and returned with the rings. Great job!!

Off to find the rings…

They had a fantastic reception at the Manor Tavern…. great food…lots of dancing… and it was obvious that everybody enjoyed themselves.

Tracy and I had a great time with you, your families and your guests.  Thank you for allowing us to share in your beautiful day.

Adorable Olivia…

26 06 2007

I was so excited to see Olivia and her mommy today.  The last time I saw them it was for family pictures at the beginning of the year.  She is just adorable as ever and her mom, Mary is so cool….she didn’t care that Olivia wanted to play in the water and not near the water while wearing a beautiful white dress!  We played in my backyard for awhile, trying to catch butterflies while avoiding the bees and then headed across the street to my neighbor’s back yard so we could throw rocks into the stream.

Here are some of my favorites of this doll baby…..

Mary and Walter, thank you so much for allowing me into your lives yet again. It’s always great to see you.  I’m looking forward to seeing you both in September.

Joey and Jessica….two beautiful people, two beautiful days….

22 06 2007

I had the privilege of photographing Joey and Jessica’s beach ceremony a couple of weeks ago.  They are so cute together and a blast to be around.  They are one of those couples that you see and know that they belong with each other.  Jessica was a BEAUTIFUL bride.  She looked fantastic in her wedding dress.  Joey could not have been more handsome as he anxiously waited to see his bride.

Jessica’s parents hosted the ceremony at their condo in Ocean Pines; they are awesome as well….in fact both families are fantastic.

After the ceremony, I followed their limo out to the beach and we got so many great shots of them just enjoying each other and the day.  Here are a couple of my favorites….

The following week they had their celebration party.  Jessica’s parents, Jack and Terry, rocked…they had incredible food, an abundance of goodies…anything imaginable that could be prepared on a grill (not a little weber mind you!) was there.   I have no idea what time they finally sat down.  Jessica’s sisters were spotted several times bringing out trays of crab balls and steamed shrimp.  The entire family prepared, served and never broke a sweat…all while smiling and enjoying their friends!  Their home and yard were festive with decorations, so tastefully done and once again, the weather was perfect for the occasion.  They had children’s tables set up with fun activities.  There were some of the most adorable children there….I wish I could post the pictures of the children (I didn’t ask the parents)!  I really enjoyed getting to know Jessica’s sisters over the two weekends also.  Some really good people!!

Terry is checking out the food supply, making sure everybody has enough. She is such a gracious hostess. Jack’s cooking just ‘a couple’ of edible delights. Check out that grill and food!

Joey and Jessica’s  families and friends were fantastic to meet and photograph.  Tracy (my awesome assistant shooter) and I had a fabulous time and felt honored that we were able to watch and photograph events as they unfolded.  We met some fantastic people.

We managed to get everybody together to get this shot…great looking, fun people…

I left their party at dusk.  As I was driving down their driveway, the sky dimly lit, I turned briefly to see if I could get a good view of their home.  I loved what I saw.  It was as if God lit their portion of the sky.  I think that He was winking, while saying “Job well done Jessica and Joey!”
