South River High School Class of 2014, Katie Simmons! {Anne Arundel High School Senior Photographer}

We had a wonderful time with this beautiful Class of 2014 High School senior!  She is our Senior Spokesmodel from South River High School.  Katie is an awesome and talented girl with, undoubtedly, a bright future ahead.

We had the privilege of photographing her sister 2 years ago and her cousin last year and we’re honored that she came to Pam Long Photography as well!

Katie is a remarkable young lady. Not only is she a member of National Honor Society and the Success Team, but is phenomenal at sports too! She excels in racquetball, volleyball and tennis!  She’s amazing!

Katie was a lot of fun to hang out with while we created her senior portraits and it’s evident to us that she has a great time in life while working hard at whatever she’s doing at the time.

Jessica Hubert, Wilde Lake High School {Howard County Photographer}

Introducing a smart and beautiful Class of 2014 senior from Wilde Lake High School, Jessica Hubert.

Pam Long Photography is fortunate to have this wonderful high school senior as one of our spokesmodels and we’re proud to have her represent our studio.  It’s been great fun getting to know Jessica and her family.  Her sister even joined us during one of her sessions.  They are so supportive of each other, very encouraging and very loving.  I hope my daughters are that supportive of each other at that age. 🙂

Jessica is very involved at her school.  She is the class president, involved with the Literary Magazine and a member of the National Honors Society!  It’s evident that she’s hardworking and dedicated in everything that she does.  Jessica has also enjoyed years of being involved in soccer, karate and track and field.  Totally a bright, well-rounded young lady!  I know her parents are very proud of her.

Jessica, thank you, again, for choosing PLP to take your senior pictures.  Your smile can light up any room!  🙂

Local Photographer’s Work Goes to International Exhibition – Pam Long of Pam Long Photography is honored by peers and jurors for high-quality photography.

Ellicott City, Maryland, August 5, 2013 — “A Warm Heart”, created by Pam Long of Pam Long Photography in Historic Ellicott City has recently been accepted into the Loan Collection of Professional Photographers of America’s 2013 International Photographic Competition.  Long’s work will be on display at the Phoenix Convention Center January 12-14, 2014, in Phoenix,  Arizona. This International Photographic Exhibition is held in conjunction with Imaging USA, an annual convention and expo for professional photographers and several photographic associations.

A panel of 43 eminent jurors from across the United States selected the top photographs from nearly 5,000 total submitted entries at Gwinnett Technical College in Georgia. Judged against a standard of excellence, just over 1,800 images were selected for the General Collection and 682 (roughly 7 percent) were selected for the esteemed Loan Collection— the best of the best. The Loan Collection images will all be published in the much anticipated  “Loan Collection”  book, and over 200 selected General Collection images will be published in the “Showcase” book by Marathon Press.

Titled, “A Warm Heart”, Long’s photograph will be in the International Photographic Exhibition alongside other top photographic works from the competition and traveling and special invitational displays. These images constitute one of the world’s largest annual exhibits of professional photography gathered simultaneously under one roof.  Long created this image during a fundraiser, ‘Santa Paws’, that she held at her studio for a deserving local animal shelter.  She is thrilled to have the honor of being a part of this Loan Collection for two consecutive years.

Alishia’s high school senior portraits {Ellicott City Photographer}

Alishia came armed and ready for fun senior photo shoots!  This girl knows what she wants and is great at following directions to make it happen!  We loved working with her! Our goal at Pam Long Photography is to have our client’s personality shine through their images and, especially for our seniors, to include some of their hobbies or interests.  When Alishia and her mom came to her first photo shoot, they came with 3 boxes of shoes!!…along with her outfits!  This girl LOVES shoes and she looks fabulous in them.

Alishia is smart, flexible, determined, and funny!  She has been busy with her high school activities;  she’s involved with Best Buddies, Horizon Club, Lines of Love, PAWS club, Cross Country and the Yearbook committee!  Each and every senior that I’ve worked with these past several years gives me comfort that the world will be a great place!……and Alishia is no exception.  I’m so glad that she chose PLP to create her senior pictures.  I’m thankful to have met her and her wonderful family!  🙂
