Mother’s Day with the girls…

13 05 2009

Joanna wanted to have a special Mother’s Day portrait session for the girls in her family. I’ve known Joanna for years now but never had the pleasure of meeting her mom and sister…and adorable niece…until last weekend. What a great group of ladies.

We had planned on some studio time as well as more casual portraits out in the woods playing in the creek. It rained for several days prior to their photo session so the woods and creek were out of the question because it was more like a swampland….high heels and swampland don’t mix well! But, the rain did manage to take a break for about a 1/2 day during the 3 week downpour and that just happened to be the time that the beautiful girls came down from PA. So we were able to get some spring portraits for them in my outdoor studio!

Ladies, thanks so much for making the drive down so we could have fun in the studio. I’m looking forward to showing you the rest of the images….you all are beautiful!
Jenelle, I look forward to photographing your family this summer, it’ll be a blast!

Nahal heads to the Prom…

10 05 2009

Many high schools had their prom last night.  Howard High School in Ellicott City was one of them.

Nahal is our neighbor, our babysitter, my office assistant and my photography assistant and a smart, wonderful and beautiful senior. My family is blessed to have her in our lives. My girls adore her. She has a way of morphing into a child when she’s with them; laughter fills the house when she’s here.

Here are some of my faves of Nahal before she headed out for the night…
