…are an absolutely beautiful couple. These two are so loving. Not only to each other but to everyone around them. You can literally feel the love in the room when you are with them.
I honestly don’t know where to start with telling their story. I will try to share their day with you through my eyes. Â
They had a fantastic day planned. Their church would be a gorgeous place to marry, they had a trolley car scheduled to pick up Meghan and the girls at the hotel and bring them to the Church.   We would have 30 minutes to capture great images of their families and bridal party at the Church before heading out in the trolley to explore Baltimore for an hour prior to arriving at their reception place. I was really looking forward to being a fly in the wall and observe… & click! 😉 … as this day would unfold. I had previously met Meghan’s mom and some of her bridal party at Meghan’s dress fitting and they were a great group of women…I knew this day would be a fun, joyous and beautiful day! And it was!!
Sit back, grab a drink and enjoy their day.
Tracy and I met Meghan, her family and her bridal party at the Marriott Courtyard in downtown Baltimore. It was great timing…as we were waiting for the elevator in the parking garage, Meghan and her mom, Patty, and her future mother-in-law, Kathy, were just returning from the hair salon. Already she looked stunning.
Okay, so in the hotel rooms, were more wonderful people. Truly, I’m not sucking up, we met fantastic people throughout the entire day.
Let’s just start with Isabella, Meghan’s niece, shall we…
oh……my……gosh……is she a cutie or what??
…she loves her strawberries.
Then there’s the other little cutie in the room, Luke. He’s a doll too.  Here he is when he first took a look at this thing that he’s supposed to get around his neck…
Aunt Meggie to the rescue…
Their rings are beautiful…
Meghan’s grandmother was a very important part of Meghan’s life. They were extremely close. Meghan made sure that her grandmother was part of her day. “Something Blue” was her grandmother’s sapphire ring…
Something borrowed, her grandmother’s bible…
How sweet is this shot…can’t you just read Luke’s face???…
After Meghan gave her mother a beautiful plaque (which none of us could read because we knew it would bring tears), they share one of many “happy tears” moments…
While trying to head outside for some bridal portraits…who knew that you would need a key card to go outside? 🙂 , we took this shot of Meghan while waiting for a key…
Another very touching, beautiful moment. We managed to get outside for a couple of minutes before the rain visited. While taking Meghan’s bridal portrait, she looked down at her grandmother’s ring and was overcome with emotion…
We headed to the Immaculate Conception Church in Towson. A beautiful church. The weather pros had called for severe thundershowers for several hours during the day. The rest of the day it would be ‘non-severe’ showers 😉 . Well, the only time it was truly severe was the time that everybody was inside the Church. Thank you, God. It was as if He planned it that way. We did have challenges throughout the day with sprinkles and subtle downpours 😉 , but it was AWESOME how it all worked out.
Here’s a great image that Tracy captured before the girls headed down the aisle…
Here’s Jay, the handsome groom with his brother and best man, Scott, escorting their mother…
I love this image. Tracy took this of Meghan’s dad as they were stepping out to walk down the aisle…
Jay just caught a glimpse of his bride for the first time…
More emotion…
Raw emotion…
A gorgeous setting for their ceremony…
Love it…
I love this shot that Tracy got while we were taking formal portraits…
We left the Church and enjoyed a ride on the trolley with the bridal party. Laketa, with American Limousines, Inc. did a great job driving everyone around. We stopped at the Washington Monument and Federal Hill. Here are some of the images from our fun Baltimore drive…
First, let’s start with the trolley “rule” (courtesy of the bridal party). Whenever the bell rang, Meghan and Jay had to kiss…
It wasn’t until I was processing the pictures that I realized Meghan had been carrying her grandmother’s bible and handkerchief with her the entire time…
Leaving Federal Hill…
They had their reception at the Baltimore Musuem of Industry. What an incredibly great place. Here are some images from their reception…
The newly married couple, enjoying their first dance together…
Here, my future assistant 😉 , Doug, takes a picture of Jay and his mother dancing…
(ps Doug, thanks for taking great care of my camera and lens on the trolley 🙂 )
Let the party begin…
Meghan and Jay, words cannot express the joy and love I feel for you. You have a tremendous future to look forward too. You were such a gracious couple on your wedding day. I never once heard you complain about the rain (even when we had to run from it, or take cover under the umbrellas). Meghan, I’ve never seen, and probably will not see again, a bride in her wedding dress pick up her niece and give her a strawberry to eat…while still holding her!! You are a loving, unselfish, giving couple and I’m thankful and grateful to have witnessed your incredible day.
To everyone in Meghan and Jay’s families, their bridal party and awesome guests…Tracy and I had a fantastic time with you all. What a fantastic group of people with which to spend the day. Thanks for making our job soooooo fun.
xoxo and lots of love.
