Family portraits in the Park

20 11 2008

with another awesome family. I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing Stephanie and Duane and their little superstar Jack at Centennial Park last week.

I enjoyed spending time with them immensely. They drove from VA and it was a chilly, windy day but they certainly made the best of it. Here are some great images from our morning together.

Stephanie and Duane, thank you for making the drive out here and for giving me the privilege of photographing your family. Jack is such a doll baby! 🙂

Renee, thank you for referring me to your friends. I look forward to meeting you and photographing your family next week. 😉

Newborn portraits in the Studio

18 11 2008

with baby Finn.

I was extremely excited to meet Finn. Finn decided that he wanted to enter the world and meet his mommy and daddy a couple months early. He was 3 lbs, 11 oz and he and his family went through a lot of challenges for a few weeks, but just look at him now…

How about the love Jill and John have for this little one…

John comes from a family of watermen. He brought along a net, a crab and his cool waterman boots. So we created a little waterman set for Finn…

John and Jill, thanks sooooo much for this honor. I know it was a tough and very challenging time for you when Finn first arrived. You had so many prayers coming your way and they were answered as we had hoped. I am thrilled that I could create these beautiful images for you.

You know I had a blast with you all. I’m looking forward to showing you the rest. 🙂

I love seeing my clients…

13 11 2008

…I should say friends. One of the greatest joys of being a photographer, is that people that have come to me as clients become friends.

I had the chance to see the Vicki and Mike and I couldn’t believe how their girls have grown. The last time I saw them was at my “Snacks with Santa” party last year. Vicki was pregnant with her 3rd child and she told me that she’d want family portraits taken in September, after the birth of her child. September seemed soooooooo far away; I just knew I’d see them well before then.

Well……October rolled around and I couldn’t believe we went almost a year without seeing them (okay, we did run into them at the mall sometime during the year and that was a nice surprise).

They are blessed with 3 of the cutest little girls. Here are just a few of my favorites from our fun afternoon together…

We began our session outdoors and then brought it inside to the Studio.

Vicki and Mike, thanks again for the honor of photographing your beautiful, growing family. It’s alway so nice seeing you both and your girls.

The Fun 15

10 11 2008

When I spoke with Laura on the phone the first time, I could “hear” her smile over the phone…and each time after that; I knew she’d be fun! Laura wanted to coordinate a photo session with her extended family of 15…some live here, some in PA and some in VA. Lots of coordinating but we found a date pretty easily.

It was a fun session. Everyone was pretty easy going and we managed to get a lot of great images.

Here are some of my favorites from our time together…

Leon and Sandy, what a great group of people that make up your family. It was a pleasure meeting everyone that made it. Laura, Ed, Ben, Jennifer, Rachel, Dennis and Matt, and all of the young ones 😉 , thanks for making the drive!

Laura, thanks for taking the time to coordinate everything.

Heather and Tracy, thank you for referring me! Nahal, thanks for the great assisting during the shoot!

Romeo…oh Romeo…

9 11 2008

Alex is Romeo’s ‘mommy’. As Alex says, “he’s a lover, not a fighter…” And here’s a great example of that sentiment…This is Romeo during his mini photo shoot. “Lucy”, a neighborhood doggie caught his attention and he was no longer mine! Check him out checking her out…

Alex, I’m so glad we could take a few minutes to play with Romeo in front of the camera. He is so cute….and soooo fast! 🙂

Senior pictures at the studio

3 11 2008

for Lauren.

I was able to photograph another great senior…a few weeks ago…yes, I’m way behind in blogging!

Lauren and her mom came to the studio and my statements of “I have the best job ever” were even more reinforced.  I really get to meet some wonderful people that I would not have the pleasure of meeting if it weren’t for being a photographer.

Here are just a few of my favorites from Lauren’s photo shoot:

I really had a nice time with you both.
