The excited ice cream lovers started to arrive around 2 pm. Some were ready to join the contest, while others were ready to watch and cheer.
Stanley, owner of Hershey’s Ice Cream in Elkridge, Maryland welcomed everybody to the 2nd annual ice cream eating contest.
Stanley is joined by Joseph Hunter, a member of the board for Habitat for Humanity of Howard County.
The first round began the contest. Between bites, Lexi, far right, checked out her competition…
16 oz of ice cream can be a little intimidating for these twins, Ben and Tucker….
…..or realizing that 16 oz of wild vanilla is HUGE!!!!
Round 3 went to town with Justin, Brit, Marcus and Kalil, while Neil and Michael, the time keepers, cheered them on….
Four more participants that were hungry to help Habitat…….Taylor, Andrew, Jesse and Peter….
Everybody did such an awesome job. Stanley and his wife, along with all of the ice cream servers, were always smiling while eagerly assisting. Renee, Cameron and Joseph from Habitat from Humanity, you were so pleasant to work with. Karoline did a great job collecting donations and keeping the contest entries organized!
And to all of the participants and people that came out to support this wonderful cause, you did a fantastic job!! It was great to meet so many of you.
